In my project to add working headlights to a vintage Airfix 1914 Dennis Fire Engine kit, I needed an alternative to the solid plastic headlight fronts from the kit, designing replacement rims for the lenses. I also decided to replace the sidelights from the kit with more realistic ones.

And, even if you are not adding working lights, these replacement parts will improve the look of this otherwise exceptional vintage kit.

Transparent lenses are not included, but can be added either using clear acetate, or by filling the apertures with epoxy or UV resin. The backs of the headlights and mounting brackets can be used straight from the kit.
